About Hara!
Hara is a dancer, actress, yoga teacher, and skilled chess player born in sunny Athens, Greece, and currently based in New York City.
Originally studying Chemical Engineering, Hara’s path took a dramatic shift when she decided to pursue dance instead. After graduating from a renowned Professional Dance Conservatory in Athens, where she honed her skills in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz, she was awarded the prestigious Alexander Onassis Public Benefit Foundation Scholarship which brought her to New York, where she continued her studies at the José Limón Institute.
In New York, Hara expanded her exploration of dance, embracing various styles and continuously pushing her artistic boundaries. She became a scholar of the Attica Tradition Educational Foundation, and dedicated time to train in acting, starting at the Lee Strasberg Institute and continuing at INTAR Theater’s UNIT 52, MTB Studios, and SITI Company. Throughout this journey, she has viewed the body as an organic instrument with no limits, only expansions—an approach that has informed both her performance and teaching.
Among her most significant discoveries was Brazilian Zouk, a partner dance that Hara has become deeply passionate about since 2018. She now not only performs but also teaches Brazilian Zouk, in New York, where she is deeply immersed in the community, and shares her passion in international festivals in places like Colombia and Mexico.
